Sam performing live

About Sam

Sam is a multidisciplinary artist and producer based in the spaces between genres. Drawing from a deep well of influences — from the textural landscapes of Brian Eno and Tim Hecker to the rhythmic experimentation of Björk and Aphex Twin — Sam crafts sound worlds that are at once intimate and expansive.

Growing up surrounded by analog synthesizers and a healthy obsession with field recordings, Sam began producing music in a makeshift bedroom studio at sixteen. What started as late-night experiments with cassette loops and drum machines evolved into a distinctive practice that bridges the organic and the electronic, the composed and the improvised.

Sam’s recent work explores the intersection of generative systems and emotional narrative, using custom software instruments alongside traditional songwriting to create pieces that feel both algorithmically precise and deeply human. Whether performing in a gallery, a basement venue, or a festival stage, Sam brings the same commitment to presence, texture, and the transformative power of sound.
